On Wednesday, November 5, three lucky Govan Brown employees got the opportunity to attend Toronto's 10th annual What's On the Table benefit for the local Stop Community Food Centre. The evening, sponsored by Stonegate, took place at the Daniel's Spectrum in the reinvigorated Regent Park neighborhood. The elegant gathering was an occasion for the attendees to sample some of Toronto's premium cuisine while also funding the Stop Community Food Centre that strives to increase acc-

ess to healthy  food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds health and community, and challenges inequality. Attending the event were some of Toronto's most respected chefs along with past volunteers of the Stop Community Food Centre. The food and drink options ranged significantly in theme, style and inspiration, including wines hailing from Niagara, Maritime oysters, Italian rice balls, and Vietnamese Vermicelli to name a few. Along with ticket proceeds going to charity, there was also

silent and live auctions to participate in that also went to charity. Of the many prizes to be won were nights at wine tasting venues, a fully butchered cow and a week in Tuscany. The enjoyable event aroused the charitable spirit of many organizations that have been impressed by the fun and success of past years. Govan Brown was pleased to be a Silver Sponsor of What's On The Table as the event has proven to help those less fortuante while also being an effective and exciting fundraiser.
