Govan Brown

On Tuesday, November 18th, members of the Govan Brown staff attended the Junior Achievement of Central Ontario's 26th annual Governor's Dinner. The dinner, considered the marquee event of the year for the organization, is the largest fundrasing effort for the association and was well attended by distinguished guests and Junior Achievement students. Our very own Jon Taylor, sitting on the board of Governor's himself, was a co-chair  for  the event. The Master of Ceremonies for the

event was David Chilton, an enterprising entrepreneur and star of CBC's Dragon's den. Along with Chilton, the evening was adorned with other guest speakers who shared thoughts and advice on business, networking and economics.  The speeches fell on eager ears as every table of ten was accompanied by 2 Junior Achievers. The wonderful dinner was followed by both silent and live auctions with a wide variety of prizes to be won. The money from the  event will go to funding future Junior Achi-

ever programs in Central Ontario. Junior Acheivers is a remarkable program that has reached over 65,000 students in the GTA alone and has been inspiring Canadian youth  for over 50 years. With over 5,000 volunteers, Junior Achievers' aim is to teach students about money and economics. Govan Brown Partner, Jon Taylor, has since been asked to sit on the board of directors for JACO following the successful Governor's dinner.
